Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Day Shift to join our on-site team in St. Cloud, Minnesota. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment across motors, conveyors, and production machinery, using mechanical and troubleshooting skills to keep operations moving and safe.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years industrial maintenance and 3+ years manufacturing experience, strong communication, and a hands-on approach. We offer competitive hourly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills.
• Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications, as well as experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Leads and promotes a culture of safety first.
• Maintains, repairs, and modifies extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
• Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Facility and grounds maintenance.
• Must be flexible with hours across all shifts to train and coach.

Quanex is looking for aMaintenance Technician – Day Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Be the expert who keeps everything moving. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll use your mechanical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain the equipment that powers our operation. From motors and pneumatic systems to conveyors and production machinery, you'll tackle challenges that make a direct impact on productivity and performance.

You'll also be a champion for continuous improvement, helping identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. We're looking for a dependable team player who brings a positive attitude, thrives in a hands-on environment, supports others, and takes pride in maintaining a safe workplace. Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, starting wage varies based on your experience

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Will discuss further in interview, overtime may be at beginning or end of shift based on business needs and projects.
