Keystone Distinction Group in Ogden, UT, seeks a Maintenance Technician / Plant Engineer for a busy commercial laundry plant.

You will install, repair and maintain large industrial processing equipment and handle start-up/shut-down, troubleshooting, and maintenance records. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and offers a day shift (4x10) with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of electronics and basic PLC programming.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
• Commercial Laundry (Linen/Uniform) experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Basic plumbing/pipefitting experience.
• Boiler license preferred, or ability to obtain.
• Must be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment and systems (washers, dryers, ironers, water systems, etc.).
• Responds to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Performs preventive maintenance and keeps maintenance records.
• Machine startup for each shift and monitors operation for efficiency and problems.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments per specifications.
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, hoists, cranes.
• Record production, repair and maintenance information and communicate status to Chief Engineer/Plant Manager.

Maintenance Technicians/Engineers are responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, troubleshooting, clearing jams, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems. This position reports to the Chief Engineer.

Shift/Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Thursday (4 day work week, 10 hour shifts). Approximately 5am-3:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, water systems and other equipment and systems.
• Responds to daily maintenance requests in a timely fashion to minimize equipment downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Machine startup for each shift, observing mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to specifications
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• Clean machines and machine parts.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Communicate to Chief Engineer and Plant Manager the status of down machines any parts that need ordered in order to repair machinery.
• Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and promotes a culture of safety.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience is required.
• Knowledge of electronics and basic PLC programming

• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
