Job summary

The Maintenance Assistant at Life Care Centers of America in Chandler, AZ provides quality maintenance functions for the facility in compliance with laws and Life Care standards. You will support preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure safety and comfort for residents and staff.

We seek a high school graduate with at least one year of maintenance experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year maintenance experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety
• Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
