Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in New Jersey to maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, and to deliver certification training for team members. You will mentor junior technicians and help lead maintenance initiatives within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Applicants should have a strong track record in preventive and corrective maintenance, knowledge of PLCs and control systems, and the ability to read technical manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 4+ years of related work experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CMRT, Electrical Maintenance Certification) required.
• Understanding of PLCs, motors, control systems, and schematics.
• Ability to read/interpret technical manuals/blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and systems.
• Configure and repair web-based electronic components as needed.
• Ensure safety regulations and maintenance policies are followed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
