Job summary

ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support its Advanced Automation Infrastructure team in Secaucus, NJ. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting conveyance, pneumatic systems, motors, and mechanical equipment across automated production cells to ensure high uptime.

You will lead repairs, perform preventive maintenance, manage spares, and collaborate with Robotics and Controls teams to analyze failures and drive improvements for reliable

Qualifications

• Trade school certification in a technical field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in automated manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and pneumatic/electrical diagrams.
• Experience maintaining conveyors and pneumatic actuators.

Responsibilities

• Own conveyance, pneumatic systems and mechanical equipment for production cells.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, actuators, motors, gearboxes, bearings and sensors.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance across ~40 conveyance cells.
• Develop and maintain spare-parts inventory based on criticality and lead times.
• Collaborate with Robotics/Controls teams for cross-functional failures.
• Analyze recurring failures and lead root-cause and continuous improvement.
• Crosstrain to provide backup for robotic systems.
