Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across facilities. You will supervise detainee maintenance staff and ensure the availability of proper tools and materials for varied repair tasks.

Roles include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and general repairs, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of maintenance and/or related construction experience preferred.
• Valid, active driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of equipment for making proper repairs is necessary.
• Ability to perform plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise maintenance work to prevent and repair faults.
• Ensure availability of materials and tools for assigned jobs.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to maintenance staff.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs as needed.
• Assist in maintaining security and safety of detainees.
