Job summary

Fabcon, Selkirk, NY, seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve plant equipment for efficient precast concrete operations.

Responsibilities include predictive and corrective maintenance, welding, and working with conveyors and heavy machinery, while documenting work in CMMS/IFS and adhering to safety protocols. Union-related pay increases and comprehensive benefits are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or a two-year degree preferred.
• Two to five years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy-industrial environments.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and conveyors.
• Welding and fabrication experience is preferred; ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair mixers, conveyors, cranes, and other plant equipment.
• Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and minor electrical repairs as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in CMMS/IFS; follow safety procedures.
