Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our garden-style apartment communities. You will perform hands-on maintenance across painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs to ensure move-in ready, safe homes for residents.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of multifamily maintenance experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and relevant certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service to residents and teammates.
• Handling day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Responding quickly and professionally to service requests.
• Ensuring apartments are safe, functional, and move‑in ready.
• Working with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs.
• Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized.
