Cottonwood Residential is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR to perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related building tasks. Excellent customer communication, safety awareness, and ability to work evenings and weekends are required.

The role includes on-call emergency coverage with support from the Service Manager. EPA certification is required; CPO is a plus; valid driver’s license is mandatory.

Competenze

• Must read, write and speak English to communicate with customers and interpret manuals.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
• Capable of long walking/standing and working evenings/weekends.
• On-call technician with after-hours emergency service.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is required.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications & Required Experience of an Apartment Maintenance Technician

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
• Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is required.
• Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
