Cottonwood Residential seeks an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and to service common-area and apartment units. You will troubleshoot HVAC systems and address on-call emergency requests with the help of the Service Manager.

The role requires strong communication in English and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English to communicate with customers and interpret manuals.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs, ladders, and uneven terrain.
• Able to work evenings and weekends and be on-call for emergencies.
• Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• HVAC troubleshooting experience is required; EPA/CPO certifications are a plus.
• Driver's license is required.

Responsabilités

• Perform repairs including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry for apartments and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and service HVAC systems and related components.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies in coordination with the Service Manager.

Qualifications & Required Experience of an Apartment Maintenance Technician

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
• Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is a plus.
• Considerable experience troubleshooting HVAC is required.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
