Job summary

Cottonwood Residential's Scott Mountain by the Brook Apartments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs across units and grounds. You will read, write, and speak English to communicate with residents and staff, and follow safety procedures.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, work evenings/weekends, and be on-call for after-hours service with supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers, process Company paperwork, and interpret safety and operating manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
• Ability to work standard community hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work as an on-call technician and provide after-hours emergency service with the support of the Service Manager while following Company standards.
• Perform repairs that may include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property grounds repairs.
• EPA certification Type II or Universal is required.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
