Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

* Perform entry-level break-fix and preventative maintenance, including but not limited to: adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments to sustain and improve operations; repairing or replacing defective parts; repairing machine tools.

* Support and back up other department members as needed by leadership.

* Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.

* Complete on-the-job training for career development.

* Update records in CMMS.

* Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities by providing inputs on processes, results, and cost savings.

* Follow all safety policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Be aware of situational hazards and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:

* High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

* Ability to use basic hand tools.

* Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing job duties, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, handle or feel with hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance on heights possibly requiring a ladder or lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces, and communicate verbally and through hearing. Occasionally, employees must sit and lift/move objects over 50 pounds. Regularly, close and color vision are needed. Employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, electrical shock risks, hazardous materials, and slippery floors in a factory environment, which is typically very loud.
