Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Facility Operations Assistant to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will perform routine maintenance, complete service requests across buildings and grounds, and assist with equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, and emergency systems.

The role requires basic technical knowledge and a willingness to work independently with attention to safety.

Qualifications

• Must have basic technical knowledge (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical) and ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment.
• Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• High School diploma or GED required; technical school education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, guests and team members.
• Perform routine maintenance and service requests across grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles.
• Fix wall/floor coverings, repair furniture and fixtures, perform basic plumbing and minor electrical repairs, repair appliances, paint and refurbish.
• Assist in executing the preventive maintenance program.
• Work on heating/cooling systems, water systems, pumps, refrigeration, motors, fans, electrical systems and generators.
• Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
• Deep cleaning and preparing resident suites for occupancy.
• Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
