Job summary

JC Pallet is seeking a Mechanic Assistant for our Barhamsville, VA facility. The role supports mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, with emphasis on preventative maintenance and safety.

The ideal candidate will work with a variety of tools, perform routine maintenance, and help manage documentation and inventory while adhering to our safety standards. Some Saturday work may be required, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Assists mechanics with diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues.
• Maintains safe and clean work areas and follows safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs/installations utilizing a wide range of tools including hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, and welding machines.
• Maintain upkeep of all equipment on site.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues under supervision.
• Assist with inventory management and general facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Complete maintenance logs and work orders accurately.
