Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Richmond, VA to support day-to-day upkeep across multiple trades including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and painting. You will assist skilled technicians, coordinate with vendors, and maintain accurate work documentation.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and work on ladders, up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the facilities team in the maintenance and repair of the building and related equipment.
• Perform general maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and painting.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Perform room set-up/tear-down for events.
• Perform inspection of the campus by cleaning up debris and materials.
• Perform alterations to furniture and relocation of client’s boxed belongings as needed.
• Perform chaperone duties for third-party vendors performing work at the campus.
• Move outbound/inbound packages to/from the Shipping & Receiving area.
• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintain appropriate service documentation.
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe conditions.
• Work collaboratively with the onsite JLL team and under the direction of the Sr. Facility Manager.
• Provide customer service to our client.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
• Support on‑call or emergency response situations.
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned.
