Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Kentucky to maintain the property, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to resident requests with excellent service.

The role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and appliances, plus on-call availability and strong customer service. EPA Type II or Universal certification is preferred; CPO is a plus. On-site position with potential travel to sister communities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• A positive attitude and the desire to learn and develop your skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance according to policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Finish the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, conduct pre-move-out inspections, create punch lists, and coordinate vendors and supplies.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing, and reporting inventory needs to management.
