Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for three Bourne, MA properties near the Bourne Bridge. You’ll maintain safe, comfortable homes and support residents and staff across Canal Bluffs, Clay Pond Cove, and High Meadow Townhomes.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. HVAC certification is a plus; the job requires physical work and a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and on-call when needed.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 75 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Insuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Complying with EPA and OSHA regulations and relevant laws.
• Identify conditions and initiate corrective actions for unsafe conditions.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain clean work areas and fulfill safety duties.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed.
• Inspect and coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
• Keep grounds neat and clean (raking, sweeping, shoveling as needed).
