Job summary

TREK Development Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service the Falconhurst & Crescent properties totaling 66 units. You will perform inspections, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance, using hand and power tools, and support emergency and weekend calls as needed.

We offer a $500 sign-on bonus after 30 days of employment and a culture driven by community values. This on-site role requires HVAC/plumbing and general maintenance skills to keep our properties safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of multi-site, multi-family property management experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience in trades: plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliance, and electrical repairs.
• Valid driver license and background clearances are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and repair vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly.
• Diagnose, repair or replace HVAC, windows, plumbing, electrical, and related fixtures.
• Painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs per RRP protocol when needed.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal and grounds, including snow removal.
• Complete work orders in a timely, policy-compliant manner.
• Provide preventative maintenance for building systems and components.
• Be aware of utility cut-offs and sewer cleanouts.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call shifts, and emergency calls.

We are currently seeking an engaged and passionate professional to serve as Maintenance Technicianto our Falconhurst & Crescent properties with a combined 66units.

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible for the performing inspections and basic repairs or preventative maintenance. To do well in this role you will display pride in your work and enjoy day-to-day maintenance problem-solving using your skills and various hand and power tools.

Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technicianis responsible for

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and perform all necessary repairs to vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respondto all service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Diagnose, repair, and/or replacement may include, but are not limited to: HVAC (including filters, belts, and thermostats), windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors and closets, cabinets, countertops, appliances, plumbing and fixtures, faucets, valves, pumps, garbage disposal, toilet, window treatments, ceramic tile, grout, caulk, electrical, roofing, walkway, asphalt, painting, carpeting, and drywall.
• Painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs follow RRP protocol as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the exterior of the property to provide curb appeal, upkeep of grounds of community, including snow removal.
• Complete work order requests in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide preventative maintenance for all buildings’ systems, equipment, and components.
• Be aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanouts.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service call duties.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED; trade school and/or Industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.
• Minimum of twoyears of multi-site, multi-family, multi-property type operational management experience — preferably with a portfolio of properties that contain a mix of residential property types or a comparable role in hotel/resort/retail management.
• Must demonstrate a minimum of two years of advanced hands-on experience in one or more trades —plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliance, and electrical repairs.
• Valid driver licenses required.
• Child abuse clearances and background check required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This position is very active, with occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 80 pounds. Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasional outside weather condition exposure. This job may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours, to support emergency repairs.
