TREK Development Group in Pittsburgh is seeking a Maintenance Technician for East Hills properties (313 units). You’ll perform inspections, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.

Under the Community Manager, you’ll prepare vacant apartments, respond to service requests, assist in exterior upkeep, and support weekend and on-call duties. Requires a HS diploma or GED and two years of multi-site maintenance experience; valid driver

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; trade school and/or Industry-Trade certifications preferred.
• Minimum of two years multi-site, multi-family, multi-property operations management experience.
• Two years advanced hands-on experience in trades such as plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliances, and electrical repairs.
• Valid driver license required.
• Child abuse clearances and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and repair vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely manner.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace HVAC components, windows, doors, fixtures, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Paint, carpentry, and drywall repairs per RRP protocol.
• Maintain exterior property and grounds including snow removal.
• Complete work orders promptly and per policy.
• Provide preventative maintenance for building systems and equipment.
• Know utility meter cut-offs and sewer cleanouts.
• Be available for weekend work and emergency calls.

We are currently seeking an engaged and passionate professional to serve as Maintenance Technicianto our East Hillsproperties with a combined 313units.

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible for performing inspections and basic repairs or preventative maintenance. To do well in this role you will display pride in your work and enjoy day-to-day maintenance problem-solving using your skills and various hand and power tools.

Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technicianis responsible for

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and perform all necessary repairs to vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respondto all service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Diagnose, repair, and/or replacement may include, but are not limited to: HVAC (including filters, belts, and thermostats), windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors and closets, cabinets, countertops, appliances, plumbing and fixtures, faucets, valves, pumps, garbage disposal, toilet, window treatments, ceramic tile, grout, caulk, electrical, roofing, walkway, asphalt, painting, carpeting, and drywall.
• Painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs follow RRP protocol as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the exterior of the property to provide curb appeal, upkeep of grounds of community, including snow removal.
• Complete work order requests in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide preventative maintenance for all buildings’ systems, equipment, and components.
• Be aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanouts.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service call duties.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED; trade school and/or Industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.
• Minimum of twoyears of multi-site, multi-family, multi-property type operational management experience — preferably with a portfolio of properties that contain a mix of residential property types or a comparable role in hotel/resort/retail management.
• Must demonstrate a minimum of two years of advanced hands-on experience in one or more trades —plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliance, and electrical repairs.
• Valid driver licenses required.
• Child abuse clearances and background check required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This position is very active, with occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 80 pounds. Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasional outside weather condition exposure. This job may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours, to support emergency repairs.
