Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repair of large manufacturing equipment. The role requires diagnosing breakdowns, recording parts, and coordinating with managers to schedule service. On-the-job training is provided and the pay rate starts at $31.35 per hour.

The candidate should be mechanically inclined with manufacturing experience, capable of reading schematics, and committed to safety and accuracy in reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational certificate preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with relevant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints to diagnose problems.
• Good communication skills, multi-lingual strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Identify root causes of unexpected breakdowns and repair quickly.
• Record and report damaged parts and install replacements as needed.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed and maintain shop areas.

SHIFT DETAILS:Monday-Friday 9:00pm-5:30amPay Rate-$31.35Benefits available Day OneOn the job trainingPRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working conditionIdentify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machineRecord and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as neededPrepare reports documenting work performed.Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as neededCoordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be requiredMake necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as requiredIdentify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementationWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culturePerform additional relevant duties as assignedSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:None.
