Job Description

Danfoss has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician at our Forest City, North Carolina facility. Candidates must be local, as we do not offer relocation benefits.

• Support maintenance programs to improve machine performance and suggest design changes to increase equipment lifespan, reduce costs, and improve efficiency and quality.
• Address health and safety issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions; participate in accident prevention activities.
• Mentor new employees in hazard recognition and safe work practices.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety equipment; support MESH policies and procedures.
• Comply with all regulatory standards and company policies.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, management, and external contacts.
• Participate in preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Provide own hand tools.

This is a 3rd shift position.

Job Responsibilities

• Understand and apply NEC regulations.
• Install and maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot, and read blueprints.
• Perform mechanical repairs, welding, machining, and operate lifts.
• Fabricate devices and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Work independently with minimal direction.
• Use maintenance software and testing equipment.

Background & Skills

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of industrial mechanical/electrical experience or an Associate’s degree plus 3 years
• Legal ability to work in the US; local candidates only

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with testing equipment, PLC troubleshooting, NFPA standards, and certifications in related fields.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
