HTI is working with a Tier 1 automotive supplier and one of the largest employee-owned companies in North America. With the new facility in Spartanburg, SC now operational, we’re building a best-in-class maintenance team to support our high-tech, robotics-driven production lines. This is your chance to be part of something from the start—and grow with it. The Maintenance Technicians will be on 3rd Shift (training on 1st shift). Pay is $28.50+ (higher pay is based depending on experience), with a sign-on bonus paid out over the course of 6 months.

What You’ll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our automated welding and robotics systems running smoothly. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance (PMs) on robotic weld cells and automation equipment
  • Troubleshooting PLCs, robotics (especially Kawasaki & ABB), and electrical/mechanical systems
  • Supporting electricians, engineers, and vendor techs with installations and diagnostics
  • Mentoring entry-level Weld Technicians
  • Handling basic facility needs (hands-on startup culture)

What We’re Looking For

Top Skillsets

  • Robotics Experience: Kawasaki preferred, ABB also valued
  • PLC Troubleshooting: Ladder logic interpretation required (programming expected at senior levels)
  • Welding Knowledge: MIG, TIG, Stick—understanding robotic weld applications
  • Stable Work History: Proven reliability in fast-paced industrial environments
  • Team Collaboration: Able to work with techs, leadership, and support staff

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance, automation, or welding tech roles
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associates in Mechatronics or similar preferred
  • Certification or training in Machine Repair, Electrician Journeyman, or equivalent preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Must be able to obtain industrial truck/aerial lift license
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools

Shift & Training

  • Start with 1st shift training: 1 week of onboarding (8 AM–4 PM), followed by hands-on training (~1 month)
  • Transition to 3rd shift (schedule TBD)
  • Flexibility for mandatory or voluntary OT—typical weeks range from 40 to 80 hours based on production demands
