Job summary

Landscape Structures is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift in Delano, MN. Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial production equipment and building infrastructure to ensure optimal operating conditions.

Hours are Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The role includes on-call duties, safety compliance, and collaboration with internal departments. Benefits and bonus opportunities accompany competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of industrial maintenance systems and repair.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems such as industrial pumps, motors (AC/DC), pneumatic/hydraulic components, gearboxes, bearings, chains/belts, etc.
  • Familiarity with electrical control components (e.g., breakers, relays, switches).
  • Basic understanding of plumbing systems; PLC-controlled systems preferred.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial equipment and building infrastructure to prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair production equipment and infrastructure systems.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Conduct analysis on machine failures to implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation: Log maintenance activities, including repairs, modifications, and preventative measures.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate equipment status, repair progress, and maintenance needs to team members and other departments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance process efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Build partnerships with internal departments and external vendors.

Performs preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and carries out repair tasks on our industrial production equipment and building infrastructure to maintain optimal working conditions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Broad understanding of industrial maintenance systems and repair.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems such as industrial pumps, motors (AC/DC), pneumatic/hydraulic components, gearboxes, bearings, chains/belts, etc.
  • Familiarity with electrical control components (e.g., breakers, relays, switches).
  • Basic understanding of plumbing systems; PLC-controlled systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts/scissor lifts, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred

The target hourly range is $26.00 - $34.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. This position qualifies for a shift differential of $4.00 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.

In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; paid time off and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.
