Job summary

Donaldson Company in Frankfort, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to work on production lines and machinery. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and perform welding and fabrication tasks in a climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment relocation, inventory control, and compliance with safety regulations. Overtime and shift differential apply with a gainsharing plan based on goals.

Qualifications

This is a 3rd shift opportunity on-site position; schedule hours are M-F 10:30 pm-6:30 am.*Excellent pay & benefits, climate-controlled facility, and so much more!***Role Responsibilities**:* Arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft soldering* Interpret blueprints and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping) for machines and buildings* Troubleshoot electrical A/C and D/C circuits using electrical metering equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems* Use basic shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders, etc.* Maintain preventative maintenance programs in assigned areas as well as buildings and grounds as needed* Repair production equipment with minimal interruption to production, installing and relocating equipment* Locate and help maintain maintenance inventory through the use of a computerized inventory system* Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test and adjust equipment of all types for safe and proper operation. Notify Maintenance Systems Administrator of any malfunctioning equipment or machine deficiencies* Provide positive feedback for corrective action plans to improve equipment reliability, maintaining a positive working relationship with all Donaldson employees* Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures. Using all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required**Minimum Qualifications**:* Read blueprints and schematics* Understand P.L.C. concepts* Exhibit knowledge of industrial electric symbols and line diagrams, control logic-line diagrams, AC/DC motors, motor starters and motor controllers* Maintain consistent high quality in work habits, accurate records* A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience.**Preferred Qualifications**:* Plan, implement, and finalize assigned projects with minimal supervision* Retain knowledge of the department of operation* Possess confidence in his/her 'hands-on' trouble shooting ability Exhibit mechanical aptitude* Understand refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation equipment pumps, valves and their application* Make sound decisions, exhibiting attention to detail* Communicate effectively with all plant employees* Adhere to safety procedures and knowledge of OSHA standards* Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees* Work in a team environment toward a common goal* Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance**Hourly Pay Range:** $34.01 per hour - $42.52 per hour, depending on relevant experience, qualifications and skills. $1 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift, with **a gainsharing plan** based on the achievement of specific goals.This position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations.Employee benefits are part of the competitive total rewards package that Donaldson Company, Inc. provides to you.
