Job summary

COATING PLACE LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Sauk City, WI. The role involves preventative maintenance on CGMP production equipment, boilers, HVAC, and water systems, with training on 1st shift. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered and shift differential applies for off-shift work.

Training period is approximately 4–6 months, followed by independent maintenance. Requires high school diploma, knowledge of cGMPs, MSDS, PPE, and ability to read/understand English;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Knowledge of PPE and safe usage.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently for job duties.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and move up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, teardown, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, HVAC, and water systems.
• Perform calibrations on production equipment.
• Understand basic welding, plumbing, and electrical practices.
• Read and understand electrical diagrams.
• Complete forms and records documenting maintenance work.
• Follow CPI cGMP and safety practices and procedures.
• Be aware of halal/kosher requirements where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shift:
2nd Shift — 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Training Schedule:
All training will take place on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday)
Training duration is approximately 4–6 months

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment and completing forms and records documenting completed work. Following training, which may last up to 3-4 months, the Maintenance Technician is expected to be capable of independently performing preventative maintenance on multiple pieces of equipment at a reasonable rate while following established policies, procedures, and practices.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in the setup, tear down, and troubleshooting of cGMP production equipment.


• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including boilers, HVAC, and purified water system.


• Perform calibrations on production equipment.


• Understand basic welding, plumbing, and electrical practices.


• Understand basic electrical diagrams.


• Perform simple mathematical calculations.


• Support facility projects at the direction of the Maintenance & Engineering Department.


• Follow all CPI cGMP and CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures.


• Employees at CPI work with and/or are familiar with the GMP requirements for Food, Dietary Supplements, Pharmaceuticals, or other elements of each.


• Depending on the position, the employee will be aware of Halal and/or Kosher requirements.


• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).


• Basic understanding of the purpose and contents of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).


• Knowledge of various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and how/when to use it.


• Ability to read, write (legibly), and speak the English language at a level necessary for efficient performance of job duties.


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-workers, and/or clients.


• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs. and move objects weighing up to 150 lbs.
