National Beef in Moultrie, GA is hiring for a Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on maintaining mechanical equipment, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a food processing environment. Strong mechanical skills, tool use, and basic computer literacy are required.

This is an on-site position with a safety-sensitive designation. Qualified applicants should have good attendance, be able to read and write English, and communicate effectively with teams.

• Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues across the facility.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the maintenance technician position should possess the following:

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions

• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• Ammonia/Refrigeration systems
• Electrical
• Food processing
• General knowledge of plant layout and production floor equipment and processes

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
