Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment used in the production of mineral chelates, as well as maintaining the overall facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a focus on manufacturing processes and equipment. Possess the ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail, accountability, and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on production equipment used in making mineral chelates, including high-capacity mixers, grinders, double cone blenders, and other facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all production and facility equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Facilities Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with the production team to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and technologies.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Order and restock parts as needed to minimize downtime.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety training and promote a safety culture within the team.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate maintenance logs, equipment manuals, and service records.
- Provide regular reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in manufacturing.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
- Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions within the facility.
