Shifts:



  • 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm

  • 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm



The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure smooth operations and a safe working environment.



Responsibilities:



  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and General Electric

  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Must be able to perform maintenance functions in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on mechanical and electrical repair.

  • Must be able to work overtime as required.

  • Must be a self-motivated skilled trades professional.

  • Positive, team focused attitude.

  • Experience troubleshooting/repairing and wiring 3 phase motors

  • Experience with pneumatics

  • Experience troubleshooting/repairing and replacing VFD's (not required but a plus!)

  • Working with HMI and PLC controls



Qualifications and Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience, 2 - 3 years, as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems efficiently and perform effective repairs.

  • Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

  • Previous experience with SAP or another CMMS system is a plus

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus
