Job Description

Position Summary:

The maintenance technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and constructing mechanical equipment and systems within the plant. This includes hydraulic presses, steam hammers, furnaces, boilers, manipulators, CNC machines, and gantries. The technician will work with pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, gas, and water systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and understand plant machinery, equipment, and facilities.
2. Perform repairs, adjustments, or replacements of worn or defective parts.
3. Safely handle rigging and heavy machinery parts.
4. Have knowledge of piping systems for steam, air, gas, water, and hydraulics.
5. Use tools such as threaders, drills, and saws.
6. Perform general building and electrical repairs related to mechanical work.

Experience and Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the forging industry.
2. Experience with electrical, mechanical, construction, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
3. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
4. Experience reading blueprints and sketches.
5. Strong work ethic.
