Job summary

Parker Hannifin’s Parker Chomerics unit seeks a Maintenance Industrial Mechanic for 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:30PM) to maintain and upgrade production and facilities equipment. The role requires working both inside and outside, ordering parts, overseeing contractors, and prioritizing tasks.

You will support EHS and LEAN initiatives and ensure safety compliance. Applicants should have 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience, be able to lift 40 lbs, and possess a GED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a mechanic in an industrial environment.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• US citizenship or permanent resident status required.

• Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate well between departments to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Use appropriate PPE for designated area.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the daily operations within the facility, including maintenance and upgrades to production and facilities equipment. This role involves working both inside and outside the building, ordering and maintaining parts and supplies, overseeing contractors, and scheduling maintenance repairs. The mechanic will also upgrade systems such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and steam. They will assist the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team with issues, concerns, and equipment safety modifications. The mechanic is expected to prioritize daily tasks independently and actively support and participate in 5S, High Performance Teams, and LEAN strategies. This position will be on 2nd shift which is from 2:00PM-10:30PM.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
• Personal/ Soft skills: Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English. communication skills.
• Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Relevant Work Experience: 6+ years of experience as a mechanic in an industrial environment required.
