Job summary

Grillo’s is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, repair, and optimize our industrial machinery, ensuring continuous operation and safety compliance. You will respond to trouble calls, repair breakdowns, and support preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints, and experience with CMMS, machining, or welding. Flexibility to work overtime and emergency calls is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• Proficient in machining; welding preferred.
• Proficient with CMMS preferred.
• Proficiency reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and emergency calls as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of industrial machinery.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
• Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive tasks.
• Receive work from manager and carry out assigned duties timely and accurately.
• Respond to breakdown calls and troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix electrical or mechanical failures.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to minimize downtime and keep production efficient.
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble gear boxes, conveyors, pumps, cylinders, valves, drives, etc.
• Read and understand electrical schematics/mechanical blueprints.
• Maintain company documentation as needed.
• Perform other duties within scope as required.
