Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems at the Herrick Center DC. The role emphasizes safety, PM discipline, and accurate record keeping in our asset management system.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience, a technical degree, and hands‑on skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and PLC controls. Local candidates preferred for on‑site work and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 2‑year vocational technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical application.
• 3‑5 years of experience.
• Familiarity with welding, cutting and related processes.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Safety awareness and LOTO experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with DC‑specific software packages.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements per OSHA, LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and conveyance equipment.
• Follow PM standards and document work for asset management systems.
• Provide expertise in PLCs, conveyors, 3‑phase electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in training junior technicians.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Support DC operations as needed.

OVERVIEW

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a
Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift differential

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems.
• Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system.
• Provide expertise in PLC’s, conveyors, 3‑phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians.
• Work closely with outside vendors to complete projects within the DCs safely and timely.
• Support the DC’s operational needs as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s Degree or 2‑year vocational technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical application.
• 3‑5 years of experience.
• Skills in welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiarity with DC‑specific specialized software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage).
• Ability to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
