SCOPE OF POSITION:
Enjoy up to a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus! The General Maintenance and Shift Technician ensures the safe and efficient operation of the high-pressure steam boiler plant operations, all associated heating and mechanical operations and other systems as necessary. This position performs duties as needed to ensure the comfort and safety of all residents, staff and visitors at the County Complex. The Facilities Operations team is committed to providing the employees and residents at Rockingham County a safe, supported, and environmentally conscious environment. The General Maintenance and Shift Technician is a vital part of our team who services/repairs our oil & wood biomass fired boilers, low- and high-pressure boiler support equipment, steam systems, HVAC/R, and pneumatic systems. They also perform safety inspections, identify & complete repairs, provide preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and systems. Further, they respond to fire alarm activations or other emergency situations, such as snow removal, at the County Complex for up to 16 hours.
