Job Summary:
Packaging company seeks an experienced, detail-oriented Production Mechanic for our 2nd shift operations (2:15 PM to 11:00 PM). Must be willing to train on 1st shift (5:45am-2:30pm).
1) Follow All safety procedures and regulations while performing work on the facility and production machinery in a fast-paced environment.
2) Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly for production.
3) Demonstrate a sense of urgency to diagnose and repair all production equipment to minimize downtime.
4) Maintain accurate records of all work done on the equipment.
5) Help to train employees in how to safely operate the equipment.
6) Work with the maintenance team and other departments to maximize production and repair any issues.
7) Track all parts used. Identify and request parts as needed.
8) Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards and drive continuous improvement in the production facility.
9) Strong mechanical and electrical experience to improve the operations of the facility.
10) Team Player and willingness to work on the production floor as needed.
Skills
· Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment.
· Familiarity with HVAC control systems and diagnostics
· Understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards.
· Understanding of pneumatic systems troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards
· Understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety standards.
· Familiar with CMMS systems.
· Knowledge and experience with GMP’s, food safety programs (SQF, etc.) and HACCP skills
· Strong Math Skills
· Effective communication skills verbally and written

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
