Quanex in Cambridge, OH is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technicians to maintain production lines with a strong preventive maintenance program. The role offers $34–$40 per hour plus shift differential and potential bonuses, with the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6am.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V, read schematics, and learn new equipment.

• 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced mechanical skills; ability to rebuild components.
• Experience with preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting on 480V and below.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Pass hands-on skills test.

What Success Looks Like:
– The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
– Performing general maintenance of all equipment
– Assisting in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements
– Performing thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers
– Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions
– Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
– Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM)
– Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed
– Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc. to improve overall plant automation efforts
– Attend outside training and seminars for continual education
– Hands on skill test required

Your Credentials:
– 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
– Intermediate to advanced mechanical skills inclusive of rebuilding equipment components
– Experience with performing preventative maintenance on equipment
– Basic understanding of facility equipment in support of facility engineer
– Basic electrical troubleshooting on 480V and below
– Basic PLC troubleshooting. No programming required
– Ability to read and apply electrical and mechanical schematics
– Ability to pass Hands on Skills test
