Job summary
Newell Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (Days, 6am-6pm) at our Fishers, Indiana facility. You will help maintain and repair plant equipment, support safety and housekeeping, and partner with supervisors to minimize downtime.
The role requires 1–3 years of machine repair and troubleshooting experience, with a High School diploma or GED and possibly related technical credentials.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1-3 years in machine repair, tool & die and/or machinist areas.
- Experience: 1-3 years’ mechanic troubleshooting experience.
- Preferred: technical degree or related licensing (Electrical/Welding).
- LEAN/ TPM exposure is a plus and can aid process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Performs monthly preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the plant.
- Identifies safety hazards and supports safe, efficient repairs.
- Cooperates with supervisors and other departments to expedite down equipment repairs.
- Maintains orderly work areas and keeps inventory clean and organized.
- Supports cost standards for materials and equipment usage.
- Assists in plant projects such as equipment installs or line redesigns.
