Maintenance Technician II: 1st Shift / Salisbury, Massachusetts

Reports To

Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician supports plant success through diagnosing and repairing machinery and infrastructure. Responsibilities include responding to breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and groundskeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues
• Perform bladder changes on Laminator 6
• Execute ULMA changeovers and printer settings
• Diagnose issues with flow wrappers, control systems, and sensors
• Calibrate moisture sensors and load cells
• Use hand tools and meters effectively
• Troubleshoot compressors and boilers, escalate when needed
• Repair Laminator steam sections and plumbing
• Work independently and manage time efficiently
• Rebuild pumps

Minimum Qualifications

• Fulfill all Level 1 requirements
• At least one year as a Level 1 contributor

Training and Equipment

One week of authorized training per year. Use of computers, meters, and heavy tools required. PPE includes safety eyewear, steel-toe shoes, hairnets, and gloves.

Physical and Work Environment

Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing, and working in loud, hot, humid conditions. Safety-sensitive position working around moving parts and industrial vehicles.

Shift and Hours

First shift, Monday-Friday, with some weekend overtime. Scheduling depends on business needs.
