CCH - Christian Church Homes in Oakland, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to oversee day-to-day maintenance of assigned properties, ensuring safety and sanitary housing in partnership with the Property Management team.
You will perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep; ensure units are make-ready within 3–5 days after release; participate in safety programs; a High School diploma and 2 years’ experience are preferred.
A Maintenance Technician II oversees the day‑to‑day maintenance operations of assigned properties. The role ensures the upkeep and safety of the property and works closely with the Property Management team to deliver safe, appropriate, and sanitary housing to all residents.
This position reports directly to the Community Manager and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
The salary range for this position is $24.24 – $28.64 in California and $21.22 – $25.67 outside of California. New hires are typically brought in at the minimum of the range. The role offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance; an 8% employer contribution to retirement; and other benefits. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position based at Westlake Christian Terrace East, 251‑28th Street, Oakland, CA 94611.
Extensive physical exertion is required. Candidates must be able to walk, bend, climb, manipulate objects, and use hand tools for prolonged periods. Lifting, moving, and carrying items over 50 lbs regularly is necessary. The role also involves sitting, typing, and repetitive computer use for up to 8 hours a day.
