Job summary

Regal Rexnord is accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician I to repair and maintain a wide range of machine tools and equipment at our Florence, KY facility. The role requires reading electrical schematics, performing preventative maintenance, handling small assemblies, and using precision instruments to diagnose issues.

You will work onsite and contribute to a safe, efficient maintenance program.

Qualifications

• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Disassembly, repair or replacement of parts with reassembly and adjustments.
• Able to use measuring instruments for diagnostics and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment; install parts and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment; read drawings and schematics to guide repairs.
• Operate and log maintenance activities in the system; communicate issues with suppliers as needed.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Purpose of Position

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision‑measuring instruments. Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. As needed, repair and/or communicate issues. Maintain/issue and complete work orders, receive and make calls to outside suppliers of both replacement parts and technical services.

Position Description

• Diversified work to include installation, maintenance, and repair on a wide variety of machine tools, attachments and auxiliaries.
• Diagnose, disassemble, repair or replace parts, reassemble, align and adjust.
• Make parts (replacement) such as small shafts, pins, bushings, etc.
• Simple cutting and welding.
• Perform necessary work including analytical troubleshooting and complex maintenance functions.
• Install and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as motors, power and light circuits, starters and circuit breakers, diagnose electrical circuits, including solid state controls.
• Diagnose and repair computer equipped controllers for manufacturing equipment.
• Required to read electrical schematics.
• May also make minor building repairs.
• Must be able to use shop mathematics, charts, tables and handbook formulas.
• Must be able to work from complex drawings, wiring diagrams and sketches.
• Use a wide variety of measuring instruments with a prior knowledge of the operation of machine tools, methods, and materials.
• Assist and instruct lower classification machine repair or apprentices as required.
• Operate maintenance system to log maintenance activities.
• Complete all relevant training provided by Industrial Powertrain Solutions.
• Maintain safe and clean work area.
• Must be willing to advance through continued training and education.
• Willingness to promote and adhere to the 6s initiatives.
• Promote team concept and train new employees.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• All job duties of a Maintenance Tech I as required.
• Perform any other related duties as directed, including.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs.
• Must be comfortable with heights
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
• Must pass PIE requirements to operate equipment
