Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I to perform a range of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks in our plant facilities. You will work under direct supervision to sustain critical machinery, equipment, and building systems.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and hands-on repair in a fully onsite environment. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year of maintenance experience, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in preventative maintenance or related role.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant machinery, equipment, and instrumentation to sustain efficient plant operations.
• Assist with installation of production equipment and machinery.
• Complete documentation for machinery usage and maintenance activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop and tools; manage inventory of supplies.
• Operate forklift and assist in moving equipment as needed.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain equipment relationships.
• Support safety and compliance requirements within the maintenance team.

Brief Description

Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I, initially under direct supervision, perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance department, repair and servicing of buildings, facilities, equipment and mechanical systems.

Key Accountabilities

• Help troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels
• Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and fluid handling systems
• Assist in installing production equipment and machinery.
• Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop, and tools.
• Assist in dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Help in maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance, janitorial and facility supplies.
• Maintain familiarity with manufacturing equipment and relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Operate forklift to help aid in moving equipment/machinery.

Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors

• High School Diploma/GED required; Trade or technical certification preferred.
• Must have at least one (1) year of preventative maintenance experience.
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision may be required.
• Must be able to physically complete required tasks including standing for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, climb ladders/stairs, work on roofs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Must be familiar with machine shop tools and equipment.
