Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Sandy, UT to keep manufacturing equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably on rotating 12‑hour shifts (5:45 PM–5:45 AM) with every other weekend off. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment while collaborating with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment changes, documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–4 years of experience repairing industrial equipment or high‑speed manufacturing equipment.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment issues.
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and replace machine components to minimize downtime.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production support.
• Perform equipment adjustments, testing, and fine‑tuning to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and support operators on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Participate in 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Help drive equipment reliability, uptime, and overall production performance.
