Job summary

BD in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to support production equipment reliability and minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on role requires repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing preventive maintenance, reading blueprints, and mentoring less experienced teammates.

You will work on-site in Sandy, UT, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement to keep lines

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment, machinery, or packaging equipment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Solve issues and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform routine and emergency repairs
• Complete preventive maintenance activities and document maintenance work
• Support assigned production lines to improve equipment uptime and efficiency
• Replace defective machine components and coordinate fabrication of replacement parts when needed
• Fix equipment performance issues and identify root causes of recurring problems
• Assist with equipment improvements and proactive maintenance initiatives
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
• Mentor less experienced maintenance team members and support production personnel
• Work independently or as part of a team to resolve equipment breakdowns quickly and safely
