Job summary

Old World Industries in Alabama is seeking a Maintenance Technician to serve as a hands-on technical resource for resolving equipment problems affecting production. You will diagnose tooling and machine issues, procure replacement parts, and perform repairs.

The role reports to the shift Supervisor on duty. This on-site position requires 2+ years of related experience or a technical degree in maintenance, strong mechanical aptitude, PC proficiency, and strict PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related work experience or a technical degree related to maintenance or other related field.
• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude.
• Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems.
• Operate a computer and use spreadsheets and reporting software.
• Wear/use required PPE.
• Understand written instructions and complete documentation as directed.
• Use a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing production needs.
• Pay attention to details and pursue quality in duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains machinery and equipment by completing maintenance on production machines.
• Observes equipment in operation to locate sources of problems.
• Adjusts functional parts using hand tools and levels.
• Maintains inventories by checking stock and expediting orders.
• Complies with safety rules and regulations.
