Job summary

Jobot in Wooster, Ohio is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.

You will collaborate with production and quality teams, assist with installation and start-up of new or upgraded equipment, and maintain accurate maintenance records while following safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with 480V electrical systems, VFDs, and servo drives.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of electric drive systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and automation equipment.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, automation, and controls preferred.
• PLC experience is not required but is a major plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime
• Maintain and repair electric drive systems, including VFDs and servo systems
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of automation and controls equipment
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to resolve equipment and process issues
• Assist with installation, start-up, and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
