Job summary

Boyd Corp in Woburn is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will service CNC equipment and mechanical presses, following manuals and manufacturer support to ensure equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Expert level troubleshooting skills with hands-on approach to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical failures.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair of CNC equipment and presses using manuals and manufacturer support.
• Ability to work from maintenance schedules, drawings, diagrams, specs, prints and written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and diagnose complex equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions.
• Execute the preventive maintenance plan according to PM schedule.
• Participate in special projects for equipment upgrades and installations.
• Perform inspections to determine repair and maintenance needs to prevent breakdowns.
• Perform all functions of Maintenance Mechanic B and related duties.

Job Description SUMMARY: Functions with minimal supervision and performs a variety of complex tasks involving assembly, installation, maintenance, adjustment and repair of production equipment and/or plant facilities utilizing a broad knowledge of several of the maintenance trades such as electrical, plumbing and mechanical. Strong background and experience in troubleshooting and repair of factory mechanical equipment. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment and mechanical and hydraulic presses is needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will utilize expert level trouble shooting skills with hands on approach to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical failures.
• Will perform trouble shooting and repair of CNC equipment and presses by working with the machine manuals and manufactures support.
• Will work from maintenance schedules, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, prints and written and verbal instructions.
• Locates and diagnoses complex equipment failure and ensures timely, corrective actions.
• Execute the preventive maintenance plan according to the PM schedule.
• Participate on special projects work on equipment upgrade and installations.
• Makes routine, periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdown of facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Performs all functions of Maintenance Mechanic B.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
