Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to maintain and operate landfill gas collection systems at a Wheatfield, IN site. You will use hand and power tools, document findings on a company laptop, and work on a 1st shift schedule with a fully onsite operation.

The role offers a wage of $21.00/hr with benefits, including a company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, laptop, and uniforms. Training and safety are emphasized throughout the contract-to-hire arrangement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and ability to perform maintenance with hand and power tools.
• Experience with outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Construction experience and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with landfill operations, inspection, and environmental maintenance repair.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry.

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with potential weekend work. You will work onsite at a 24/7 landfill operation, exposed to the elements with access to a company vehicle for cover or temperature control. Expect to work outdoors for 8+ hours on uneven terrain. The smell of the landfill is sulfur-like and may not be suitable for everyone. The role requires assistance at various locations in Indiana, utilizing the company vehicle. PPE is required, and a $100 Red Wing Boot voucher is provided during the first week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
