GRX Holdings, LLC is a fast growing, family-oriented group of independent pharmacies looking for a Part Time, less than 29 hours per week, Maintenance Technician to work at our 22 pharmacy locations.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing maintenance of equipment and facilities. This individual is skilled in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, general carpentry, painting, etc. and is expected to assess and make recommendations to the Management Team related to maintenance and upkeep of all facilities. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services, must meet tight deadlines and be able to complete a variety of manual activities including heavy lifting/transporting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Distribution and delivery of products and supplies from the Home Office and related vendor to pharmacy locations throughout central Iowa using a company owned vehicle periodically.
• Electrical
• Monitor and replace light bulbs and ballasts
• Change switches, covers, receptacles
• Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required
• Plumbing
• Repair/replace faucets and valves, washers & springs
• Clean out drains
• Repair toilets
• Minor plumbing repairs, as necessary
• Load, transport, unload setup equipment, fixtures, supplies between GRX locations when relocating or consolidating pharmacy operations (infrequent).
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
• General Maintenance
• Repair/replace locks, hinges and latches
• Perform minor carpentry work
• Follow OSHA principals and guidelines regarding workplace safety
• Manage maintenance of vehicle fleet (approximately 22 vehicles)
• Coordinate and assist with Home Office facilities needs, as necessary.
• Hang pictures and shelving.
• Dismantle and install furniture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Two years’ minimum commercial maintenance experience
• Ability to work at heights up to thirty (30) feet.
• Good working knowledge of equipment.
• Ability to work long hours outside in winter.
• Ability to lift 100 lb.
• Basic understanding of how things work (facility-related)
• Ability to communicate well with coworkers
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
• Must be able to travel to various work-site locations on demand.
• Working knowledge Windows and Microsoft Office software
• Ability to communicate through email and other means of electronic communication
• Must have and be able to operate a cell phone with data capabilities
• Must possess valid Iowa driver’s license and an excellent driving record with ability to drive company-owned vehicles to various properties
• Ability to work in team environment
  
  

This role will also be registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy, as support staff, prior to commencing employment in an Iowa pharmacy.
