Precision Resource seeks an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our Vernon Hills, IL manufacturing division. We're about 30 miles north of Chicago and 30 miles south of Kenosha, WI.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing equipment maintenance role with basic blueprint reading ability.
• Technical, vocational, college degree or equivalent work experience. MECHATRONICS IDEAL.
• Hydraulic and mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills required; electrical ideal.
• Ability to diagnose and make good decisions about solving machine problems.
• Work very attentively to company safety and cost requirements.
• Knowledge of robotic motion controls a plus.
• Knowledge of chillers and air compressors a plus.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and continuously improve performance.
• Very reliable and punctual attendance.
• Must be able to work independently but also collaborate and communicate well with others.
• Self-motivation to achieve excellent productivity at $28-$35hourly plus bonus potential and annual pay increases.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery (repair or replace worn or defective parts, motors and controls as necessary).
• Repair, troubleshoot and maintain large conventional presses and custom production equipment.
• Maintain all pumps, HVAC, presses, tumblers, and sanding equipment.
• Maintain Cooling Tower, parts washer and driers.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues.
• Respond to equipment stoppage, mechanical breakdowns.
• Ensure proper documentation and information is recorded daily, including but not limited to production equipment.
• Take an active part in training and helping others as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams.
