Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a maintenance technician at Fox Run Village in Novi, Michigan. The role requires responding to resident work orders, performing repairs across apartments and common areas, and maintaining HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building setting, or construction-related industry.
• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Home Health environment experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
• Must lift/move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt responses to resident's maintenance work orders.
• Contribute to the General Services' team visibility and reputation for problem solving and enhancing the resident living experience.
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and community public areas, including electrical issues, plumbing, and lighting fixtures.
• Maintain HVAC equipment with preventive maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Perform residential painting/wallcovering in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Maintain paint/wall coverings in high-traffic common areas.
• Perform drywall repairs.
• Prepare written communications to request materials and report on completion of work orders.
• Create and close work orders in the work order system.

Compensation

Up to $21.00

What you will make an impact

• Provide prompt responses to resident's maintenance work orders


• Contribute to the General Services' team visibility and reputation for problem solving and enhancing the resident living experience


• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and community public areas, including electrical malfunctions, repair/replace plumbing and lighting fixtures, and other maintenance needs that arise


• Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment, including scheduled preventive maintenance and responding to emergency calls


• Perform residential painting/wallcovering in occupied and vacated apartments


• Maintain existing paint/wallcoverings in high traffic common areas


• Perform drywall repairs


• Prepare written communications as required to request painting/wallcovering materials and supplies and to report on the completion of each work order


• Create and close work orders on work order system

What you will need
