ZRG Careers in Troy, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 4-day work week (10-hour shifts, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM). Earn up to $38.75/hr with a $1.75/hr shift differential on a full-time, hourly, non-exempt schedule.

You will enjoy consistent 3-day weekend rotations and comprehensive benefits. You will keep production lines moving by balancing automation troubleshooting with mechanical repairs, including PLCs, electrical components, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and safely diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• High School Diploma or GED required and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and related electrical components.
• Repair and rebuild mechanical assets, including bearings, gears, shafts, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and root-cause analyses to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production leads to optimize machinery and support minor fabrication/welding when needed.

Maintenance Technician (4-Day Work Week & No Weekends!)

Location: Troy, Ohio

Compensation: Up to $37.00/hr base + $1.75/hr shift differential (Earn up to $38.75/hr)

Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly, Non-Exempt

Schedule: 4-Day Week (10-Hour Shifts), 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

What You'll Do

As a core member of our maintenance team, you will keep our production lines moving efficiently by balancing advanced automation troubleshooting with mechanical repairs.

• Automation & Electrical: Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, electrical components, motors, and VFDs.
• Mechanical & Fluid Power: Repair and rebuild mechanical assets including bearings, gears, shafts, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and root-cause analysis to prevent machine downtime and maximize asset lifecycles.
• Floor Collaboration: Partner with production leads to safely optimize machinery, handle minor fabrication/welding, and assist with legacy equipment maintenance.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (paper converting or similar high-speed lines is a big plus).
• Technical Skillset: Proven ability to read schematics/blueprints and safely diagnose a combination of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to workplace safety initiatives (Lock-Out/Tag-Out, OSHA compliance).

Physical Requirements

This is an active, floor-present role. Candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and troubleshooting around industrial machinery, with the ability to occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs (with assistance or mechanical aids).
